The Senior Police Officer at Hereford Garrison:

Each year the MOD Police at Hereford Garrison raise money for charity by organising an annual Emergency Services Dinner dance held within the prestigious venue of the Warrant Officers and Sgt’s Mess; home of the UK Special Forces. Within the same year a charity golf day at the local “Burghill Valley”, Golf Club is organised, this event apart from raising money, marks the memory of a former Deputy Senior Police Officer at Hereford, the late Inspector Martin Jones, who was a well respected and popular character within the Garrison.

The Emergency Services Dinner dance is open to all members of the emergency services and their families in and around Herefordshire, it is well supported by MDP, West Mercia Police, Hereford Fire and Rescue and Paramedics.

This year’s golf day will be its 12th Anniversary and is due to be held on Friday the 5th July 2013.  This has always been well supported by MDP nationally and this year the Senior Police Officer at Hereford Inspector Dave Whitson is offering to caddy for the day to the highest bidder!
