On Mothers Day, the Military Wives Album, In My Dreams hit Number 1 in the Album Charts.
The title track of the album sees former X Factor hopeful Jonjo Kerr joining the ranks of the choir. From Chorley, Lancashire, he is guest vocalist on a romantic duet, sung by a man who is parted from his lover overseas. He will be celebrating the achievement in Afghanistan where he is serving as a private in 3rd Battalion The Yorkshire Regiment.
Mentor, Gareth Malone has been quoted as saying, “Once it was like a dream but now I’m starting to wonder whether this is really happening. These women’s singing has lifted the spirits of the nation”.
A donation of £1 per album sold will be put towards the charitable foundation for military wives choirs.
Tonight will see the first musical session of the newly formed Military Wives Choir at Marchwood. Further information from firstname.lastname@example.org
Also coming up on 29th March, the Military Wives of Catterick will be out to entertain you again; see below for details.
